One of my favourite buildings in Edinburgh... the above one is a rough sketch and the below one is a larger final I'm working on....Much more detail than the sketch which is actually smaller than my hand. I sometimes end up liking the sketch more as its free and less careful and neat!

CATS
I have always loved cats, maybe it was growing up with all my Aunties and Uncles who all had 2 or 3 cats each. When studying them. Their faces show so much feeling in such a small expression.
HND 'The bloody chamber' book illustration competition
Every year there is a competition to create a series of illustrations for a book. I decided to enter it back in March 2012. This year it was for the book, 'The Bloody Chambers', a selection of adult version fairytales. We were to illustrate from three stories with a binding for the entire book. The stories were, 'The Bloody Chamber', 'Puss-in-Boots' and 'The Company of Wolves'. I really enjoyed creating these images, although i didn't win the competition it was exciting entering and thinking up ideas. Hope you enjoy :)
